belly dance CLASSES & workshops

You won't get lost in the crowd when taking classes with Perizad.  She pays attention to each and every student and provides corrections as necessary as well as lots of positive encourgement.  No prior dance experience necessary! 

All classes emphasize proper execution of technique as you progress into layered movement and combinations. 

Level 1 classes focus on technique as you move on to layering, traveling and combinations.

Level 2 explores more complex movements and combinatIons, with more emphasis on layering and traveling.  Also, veil and finger cymbal (zil) technique are covered. 

If you have not taken my classes before, I recommend you start in Level 1 - even if you have already studied with other instructors.  This is due to differences in style and teaching technique.  First time students should enroll in 2 - 3 consecutive Level 1 classes before moving on to Level 2 - or concurrent classes, too.  I'll let you know if you're ready earlier!

The class is for children and adults.  Age recommendation is 10 yrs old +.  Men who are serious students of the dance are welcome to learn along with the ladies!
